Exhaust Recommendation

Featured Replies

Hello

I'm a newby Fiesta Zetec S owner so firstly let me say hi to you all. Loving the car at the moment but wish it made a bit more noise!

So I thought I'd ask you all what exhaust you'd recommend? I can see there's a few choices but I don't want anything that affects the ability to pass an MOT or anything that you can hear a million miles away. Just a few more db and a bit of a grumble would be nice.

Not having to cut the rear valance would also be a massive bonus as I think I'd trade up once the Zetec ST makes an appearance.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Just not sure from teh info I can find on the BOSI exhaust if I would have to cut the plastic trim or not?

here is the image for the duplex version mate,

and the bumper doesnt seem to be cut at all. the support bar on the new back box is probably longer to allow the rear pipes to sit lower and peak out the rear of the bumper.

I've just fitted the mountune catback on the zs and it's perfect for what I wanted, idles at a low rumble, not too loud at low revs but if the foot goes down it roars. It sits under valance too so it's a straight swap and it's covered by fords warranty :-D

Looks like the Mountune can be had for £305 from Mountune Online. Might give them a bell and find out when they are expecting stock.

I ordered mine from the site online, think its next day delivery so all in its about £320. Got a mate to fit it but shouldn't cost much as he said it was the easiest one he has ever fitted.

Those tail pipes look proper tidy mate,

i love the way they are rolled on the edge

would be so funny to see what this would sound on my diesel :P

Diesel's don't sound too bad really, just a shame the Mountune won't be covered by the warranty on a diesel.

here is one sounds nice

and for the diesel to get the wisle of the turbo loud you just remove the back box alltogeather and fit a straight through pipe with de-cat

it will sound like a wistle and a pigeon

sssswwwwiiiiiiiissssshhhhhhhh Poooooooww!!!

and ive just figured out what the ''R'' represents on the RS its Raspy!!

Thanks for the pics. I think a decision has been made!

Cheers Lenny, glad I paid more for a proper performance part it's defo made a difference, the car now looks, sounds and drives the way I always thought it should.

Glad I could help moebius, found myself in the same position not long ago and it sounded like you were looking for the same as me.

I should add that I also have the K&N panel filter fitted, makes an unbelievable difference. Right now I'm kicking the a$$ out the fez and I'm still getting 38 mpg.

Did it affect your insurance at all?

Yeah they did, paid £19 to cover 3 months until I renew.

Anyone any thoughts on Millitek systems?

I'm also looking for a deeper note, but not something heard from miles away. I've got the 1.6 TDCI mk7, exhausts any different for diesels? It's my first one so don't know if I'm just being silly!

Found this, bit pricey but looks sweet as (plus you get a whole new valance!)
