Sidelight + Headlight Recommendation?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, looking at upgrading my bulbs soon, the ones I have on are nicer than stock, but still a little yellowish, so was going with Osram Cool Blue until I saw they're for off-road use only, so that's a fail.So I could do with something at a comparable price really. Going with Nightbreaker's for the high beam's.

My sidelights are a little blueish which I like, just they're nowhere near bright enough, would like to be able to use just the sidelights if possible (during daylight hours) and have them seen if this is at all possible, though if not, just something bright and white :P

Thanks for your time guys.

You asked a question that I was gonna ask too! So cheers!

I would like main/dipped bulbs and sidelights that are as bright as can be legally and preferably a white and/or blue light.

Any ideas for better front fog bulbs also?

for white light as bright as you can get it with out HID id recommend some Osram cool blue intense for the high and low beam headlight. i dont know the fitments for the fiesta so i cant link you directly to the ones for you but the brand would be all i van advise for now.

then some 5 smd T10 w5w 6000k white parking bulbs.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XENON-WHITE-6000K-CANBUS-ERROR-FREE-SIDELIGHT-LED-W5W-T10-501-BULB-MERCEDES-BENZ-/110901947306?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19d2456baa

and some Cree H11 led fog light units also 6000k for when your crusing with your parking bulbs and fogs on.

The oil used on them to 'trap' dirt gets sucked in and can really play havok further up (although not too common). My biggest reason is the massive waste of money they are.

You get no gains from them, from pods, cold air intakes or whatever else, all you get is noise (not really from panels but you get the idea). Say they did add 2bhp, you're not going to feel it, you really only feel gains of 10% and more, anything less than that is in the mind and the more noise you get, the noise of which is going to make you more likely to floor it.

Main reason's for buying pod/cold air filters - noise, room issues once modifying

Main reason's for buying a panel - only need 1 in the lifetime of the car

Here's 2 video's I found from a while back that outlines pretty much everything I've just said :P

By the way, thanks for the light advice, gone and bought :P

no prob lmao

good old mighty mods, im a big fan of their videos popcorn.gif well worth wathing all 3 series

Just thinking about whether on the sidelights to get SMD's, OSRAM Blue Intense bulbs or some CREE Projector/bulb ones >.< lol.

cree would be the best of the 3 if you didnt mind paying for them.

the blue will fade off the osram cool blue parking bulbs and lose effect within weeks.

and the 5smd wouldnt be as bright as the cree.

I just prefer the idea of having something that will filter the air a bit better than paper!.

The power gains (if any?!?) were not a selling point as I had it remapped anyway! :P

Looking at those for CREE's, though not sure if they'll just project and not light up the actual light unit itself... Hmm.

they will project but if the light fitment is mirrored then they will bounce off the glass and illuminate the unit too.

Think I'll go for the Cree's then, they look they'll be bright and able to be used without headlights to get some decent light, I'll get my nightbreakers next month I think :P

After being an idiot and not realising the sidelight would point into the reflector, I have bought these;

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221021067805?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

So hopefully these will light the unit up, with the main beams lighting up the road :P
