Awesome car dude! (then I would say that it's a clone of mine/mines a clone of yours)

Was the spolier:

A: expensive

B: easy to fit

C: Insurance mentionable?

I have been considering white walled tyres with black Titanium alloys. I do say I think the Black Fez may suit it...I'm gonna give this a shot on Photoshop later!

hey dude

the spoier was only £125 on ebay and luckily in panther black, well worth spending your time looking, was first considering buying one off ebay which wasnt painted and then get it painted, would of cost way to much money.

installing was very easy, will make a fitment guide later, only issue was doing a DIY on the brake light electrics and washer but all works fine now :)

and with the insurance i havnt said anything.... lol

and with the white wall tyres was just a funny thing to see has its just tyre cleaning foam :P

keep me posted on the photoshop of the tyres dude

C: Insurance mentionable?

It would be yes

Friendly piece of advice: you might wanna tell them asap. Your full name and reg are shown and they have investigators specifically to find out these things ;)

I just asked my insurance company about a whole heap of mods and they very understanding and even few won't affect my premium, such as respraying the alloys black or fitting a short-shift gearbox ^_^

It is better to ask and find out it's too expensive than to change it, hope they don't find out then have a policy cancelled/claim refused. I really could not afford to be refused insurance :wacko:

Declare everything, cover your !Removed!.

Car looks awesome James, especially loving the footwell lights and fiesta dash logo lol. I want the spoiler now after seeing yours.

What was happening at the garage in the pic with your wheels off? and is that you hiding/sneezing(?) in the tyre foam pic? lol

From someone working in motor claims, I would declare that stuff ASAP because if you have a crash and you have undisclosed mods, you're looking at a Void from Inception, A claim on your CUE match which will tip off other insurers that you've had a void, and not to mention a car which your insurer won't be repairing. I've seen 3 or 4 today alone :/

What I don't understand is how declaring mods is meant to work for future owners of the car, unless one owner gives the next a definitive list when selling how are they meant to know? There must be thousands of cars owners out there entirely unaware that their car has been modified and therefore haven't declared it. Does this void policies, or is it overlooked if the owner is oblivious to it?

Car looks great, spoiler is massive improvement and it makes a difference.

Cheers dude! means a lot!

Deffo thinking of spray the wheel black now :)

Noticed it a few times but on newer fiestas the badge grill is now silver! Anybody know where to get this from?

I want the same thing, i did find this item for sale.

Its really sad today that enthusiasts can't carry out even minor mods without risking a void on their insurance, unless there is a real increase in performance or handling characteristics in which case it would be fair.... All about making more money for the share holders I guess. :(
