Catalytic Converter Fiesta Mk7

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I own a Fiesta MK7 and it has done 17,000 miles and there was a whistling noise coming from the engine. I took it my ford dealer and they told me that my Cat had gone.

Its taken them a week and still no joy in locating a catalytic converter for my car.

They are telling me that not one dealer in the whole country has one. Dagenham and Germany have none aslo.

Surely this isnt possible?

Cheers Guys

Adam

Hi AdamC11,

Not sure about stocks that Ford keep, but the car previous to my Fiesta was a 56 plate Micra, now that needed a new catalyst one week out of warranty, no joy from Nissan so they lost a customer.

My independent mechanic found a secondhand one for 100 pounds as opposed to 495pounds for a new one.

It lasted for 60,000 miles till I traded it in.

Have you thought of that option?
