Door Lock Stuck/jammed

Featured Replies

Hi all,

sorry to be cheeky and ask for help with my first post but i have a problem i cant seem to find an answer for.

I have a 2006 mk2 Ford Focus where the front passenger door has become 'stuck' and im now unable to open the door.

The small central locking button has been pushed/depressed in and will no longer return to the unlocked position.

This prevents the central locking working resulting in all doors being open and unlock-able!

I have read a few posts about similar issues and tried the resulting advice, disconnecting the battery, wd40 and checking all the fuses.

Does anyone have idea if this is a fixable issue?

thanks for any advice :)

jarv.

If everything you've tried so far has come up trumps, then it might be something with the mechanism itself.

Try to get some of the door trim off and see if there's anything physically blocking the door or the locking mechanism.
