Glove Box

Featured Replies

Hey Guys

On an MK7 fiesta how do you actually take the GloveBox off is there a guide anywhere because one of my air outputter things has come off and i can get it back on just be easier without a Glovebox in the way, ive tried to find something to pull or push but i cannot find a thing.

Any help would be much appreciated

HiWayno01,

Had a quick look in the search part of the forum but not in any detail, also on Holls with Volvo so can't have a look to see what probs you have.

Managed it on my Micra but no need on Fiesta as yet!

I am sure someone will be able to help today.

Cheers

Read in the manual all u do is push the sides in and pull down just wanted to make sure thats right and i dont pull my glovebox off lol, its a plastic blower funnel or something which has fallen off, i got it back on yesterday but that was with the glovebox in place, so i must of only pushed it on a little bit

I suppose you can put the fan on full in correct direction position and feel if it leaks any air, just a thought.

I am going to buy a Haynes workshop manual (that's an option for you ) as I intend to have this Fiesta for quite a while.

Always found them to be very good for the novice mechanic like me.

Cheers

I bought the Haynes book before I even took delivery of my car! had one for every car I have had, there are the bees knees! ^_^

Can you look in the book for me and find out :)

Why don't you believe your manual?! :P You really do push the side in and pull it down. It's mentioned briefly at the beginning of my video

.

If you want to remove it completely there's 2 plastic dowel things in the hinges that need pulling out.

Ah i was looking for a video where u explained it, and when should i look when i have a forum full of Fiesta Guru's :)

Here is how I did it:

At each side of glovebox is a knob that you have make clear the sides of the panel:

Right

all you have to do is push the sides in to get this to pass by:

then the tray swings down :D

It's quite simple, you just have to be sure enough to squish it.......

.......oh and remember to EMPTY the glovebox or you will end up like I did, with a mess on my feet
