Does any body no how to use methalated spirts to remove paint? Do I rub it on leave it to soak in or what? So help would be amazibg

Is that to remove paint off your dash trim?

If so I would be careful it does not soften the plastic.

Not that it would remove it, would it not be safest to spray primer and new colour on the existing paint.

Meths won't remove certain types of paint. Typically only shellac based varnish. It will attack some types of plastic.

For cellulose paint you need a cellulose thinner and this again attacks plastic.

What and where is the paint you want to remove?

I've sorted it now guys, it was to remove paint but I just sanded it cleaned n primed

Yeh, I've done it silver, as well as the bottom on the giator and the mirror ill take some pics soon! I recon I prefer white but not messing about
