Featured Replies

I've just had two new front tyres fitted on my mk7 fiesta and I've noticed that when I'm turning corners and when I go to drive off my tires squeeek I first I thought it was the breaks but no matter how hard I break they dont squeak its starting to get on my nerves now can anyone help :(((

Squeek asin mechanical or as in boy racer doing300mph round a corner?

It will be the glaze on the tyres. It will soon go away

do you know what tyres where fitted? i do know of some tyres that are notorious for squeaking

Mine make the most horrendus noise at about 1mph in multi story car parks.

Let the chicken strip look wear off and they should be good.

Unless its the wheel itself thats knackered....which I doubt.

My Volvo XC 70 makes a noise like its drifting when in most multi storey parks, wife thinks I do it on purpose (as if) lol.

As mentioned Most new tyres can squeak untill they have a few miles on them.

Cheers.

its almost the same squeak as your breaks when there wet :)

Hi Roxy,

With what you say and after the miles done since fitting there should not be any squeaking from the tyres.

Have you had a driver sit in the car to help you with confirming the tyres are at fault.

It may just be a coincidence that the noise has started as soon as the tyres were fitted.

Budget tyres or not they should not make the noises as you say, are you an AA or RAC etc member, if so give them a call but it may cost you for them to check.

If you go to the tyre place take someone with you for support as they may not take you seriously.

The supplying Ford garage should give you some free advice also.

Please dont take the above in the wrong way but my eldest daughter who lives 250 mls from me suffered from patronising treatment at a Seat garage which I had to sort to her satisfaction in the end.

Cheers.

I would imagine wheel bearing should be covered under the warranty , as they are not considered a wear item like tires or clutch.

Get it booked in and checked and then argue if they say it's not covered and persist that is not wear and tare.
