The haynes manual says there is a refilling kit available? If so were would I get such a kit and how much?all suggestions apreaciated Thanks.. :) (2008 1.6 tdci Focus Estate)

I'd be interested in this too. Fluid top up due in 7,500 miles. I've found the reservoir, just behind the fuel tank on the underside. Not attempted to look at the level of it though cos it's right in the middle and difficult to see.

Get yourselves down to your local farm yards, its basically only pig p*ss anyway or somehing along those lines, they'll sell you anything these days :D

There is a JML refill kit that you can get, if memory servers correct, around the £70 mark, there is somewhere on this forum a "open, close, open close" process on the refill door that resets the trip computer into knowing its been complete. there are definately non ford Kits, but I have heard as much good, as I have bad about them - zilch! so I cant really support or argue them for you!

Sorry to bump this, but does no-one know how to actually get at the tank? Not too fussed about taking it to the dealer though, if it needs doing, it needs doing, end of!

The DPF thing is weird though. The amount of times I've been behind an older diesel recently and wished they had a DPF. I appreciate they can cause trouble for some people but I'm so glad my car is not chucking out that nasty smoke. It seems like it's the sort of thing that many people don't want themselves, but do want other people to have, if you get what I mean?!

somewhere on here, I am sure there is a post where someon gave a step by step on topping up the DPF fluid. Take a search of the forum!

I believe the DPF tank is just off the main tank, it should be (theoretically) accessible by the fuel filler cap, if you buy the JML kit, there is a set of instructions included I believe?

If you dont know, arent confident, or cant wait any longer (and you seem to be well acquainted with the fact the dealer might have to do it anyway) it might be best to take it down to the dealers and just get it sorted by them.
