m27
Hi All, The screw holding the door latch for my drivers side has come a little loose, and I can see it move slightly when opening and closing the door. DOes anyone know what type of screw or screw bit I need to tighten it? Is it a Torx security screw? Thanks
Stoney871
I believe it's either a T26 or a T28 torx.
m27
thanks but i''ve tried a T30 and its too small, i'm worried it might the the ribe/polydrive screw type? Want to make sure I get the right ones before I order a screw bit set
Stoney871
Definitely a torx. Just get a cheap bit set from a tool store.
stef123
It's a 'standard' torx fitting. Have you tried a t40 if a t30 is too small? There are a few variations of torx screws, security ( with a pin in the middle) and torx plus which looks very similar - not too common though. Stoney871
Wickes usually do a set with various security and torx heads for not a lot of money.
