Plastic Inserts - Fiesta Zetec

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just taken delivery of a new Fiesta Zetec. On delivery I noticed a couple of plastic inserts (or what appears to be) on the sills below the rear door, they at the point where the bodywork curves upwards and are about 6-8" long. I asked the guy who delivered it what they were and he said is was to protect against scuffs. I was a bit dubious but took his word for it. The reason I ask is that we got the car through the CSMA with a large discount, and I just wondered whether we got such a big discount because the car is a 'second' or 'friday afternoon' job. Anyone else got these on their Fiesta Zetec or other model?

I guess it could be plastic tape but I obviously don't want to mess around with it in case it's not!

Thanks

Basil

Nothing to worry about, the 'tape' is there to protect against stone chips :)

Yup, I actually noticed this myself on my new Fiesta when washing it on saturday, Seems like its the same on my mothers 2011 model too. None on my fathers 06 Focus though...
