Hi,

I have recently noticed an annoying issue with my radio. Whenever I plug anything into my 12v socket, my reception suffers, sometimes losing signal altogether until I remove whatever is plugged in.

I have a 2006 1.6TDCi Focus Ghia, and is fitted with the standard Ford 6000CD radio.

Any ideas?

    sounds like a ground problem. you will have to check the connection on the 12v socket and the ground on the antenna.

    Thanks :). Would a new radio sort it? I'm not great with car electronics and was thinking of upgrading it soon anyway.
