Electric Window Woes

Hiya all.Tried to close drivers side window in my mk1 1.6 lx and the window just dropped down.AA bloke said i would need new regulator cables etc.He taped the window up and wedged it with a wooden peg ha ha.Have you guys got any idea on how much it will cost as funds are a bit limited.Thanks in advance.

    Maybe try some breakers on ebay mate,

    You may get the complete door for £70 then replace the internals swapping like for like
