Flashing Red Dot Fiesta 09

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. I bought an Econetic yesterday with 20k KM on it, I was very happy until this morning..

I got a red flashing dot just on top of the fuel gauge and its freaking me out.. It started flashing really fast until I switched the engine off, then it blinked every 2 seconds or so.. I tried finding the meaning of it in the Owners Manual but I couldnt find anything about it.

Could you guys shed some light on this?

Thank You!

I believe it is the Immobiliser/alarm

How can i fix it ? what sort of problem can it cause?

It is not a problem - completely normal!

My understanding was it was for the Automatic Whipes or something along them line because mine only seems to flash when they are being used.

Note the case - I don't have auto wipers but I do have a flashing dot ;)
