Fiesta Mk7 Air Con - 2012 - Always Turns Itself On.

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I've had my MK7 Fiesta for about 2 weeks now, loving the car.

The only thing I've noticed is that the Air Con turns itself on (the light is on the A/C Button), even when the heat switch is in the hot red bit ? this could be affecting my MPG. Is this normal, does the A/C just decide to turn on whenever it wants?

if not would I need to take it back to Ford ?

Thanks All.

I bet you have your blowers pointed at the windscreen. If so that is why AC is always on (and btw AC works hot or cold)

To prevent this turn the dial 1 click anti-clockwise - it'll still blow air at windscreen but without AC on.

Ahh, that is true. I do have it to the windscreen all the time. It all makes sense now :-) thought it was just broke, happy now...

Thanks Nathan.
