Swapping Rear Tail/brake Lights For Led's

Featured Replies

Hey guys, been searching about and can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for.

With the back lights being P21, can they be swapped to non-filament bulbs? I ask this because the bulb's have 2 filaments, of which an LED doesn't.

Looking at these really; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REAR-FOG-LIGHT-CREE-RED-LAMP-LED-CAR-BULB-12V-382-P21W-NISSAN-QX-/271052298083?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f1bf9d763&_uhb=1#ht_3398wt_1397

Thanks.

You need a stop/tail light bulb. I'm no expert but maybe something like this?

May get some of those and just see, at £12 they're not bad and at worst I can stick them in the rear fog lights.

Those bulbs are single element so would not cover the tail/brake light usage.

You need double contact bulbs- check your existing bulbs contacts and side pin alignment first- maybe these will be suitable?
