Hi Iv Just Bought A Focus 1.8 Diesel With A Snapped Cam Belt

Featured Replies

hi iv just bought a focus 1.8 diesel with a snapped cam belt when i removed head its damaged the tops of the pistons its a 58 plate car would i be able to remove the pistons out of a x reg focus diesel an use them? im a vauxhall mechanic dont no much on these thanxs any info plzs

Although the 1.8 engine (block) has remained pretty much the same going back quite a few years, I would be quite suprised if the size of the pistons hasn't changed, internal tweaks etc, since 'X reg' approx 2000. I can't personally say for sure, hope you get the info you require though.
