Change Battery In Key

Featured Replies

Battery seems to have died in my remote as wont do a thing has been hesitant recently when pushing buttons several times to unlock.I can still use the central locking using my key physically in the lock

:) try a new battery

The battery you need is a cr2032.

You may find that you need to reprogramme the central locking when you've replaced it.

If so the info is usually in the owners handbook.

If not let us know and someone will post the how to guide for it.

I turn the key 4 times but then I push a button and nothing happens hmmmmm

If you replace the battery quickly you may get away with having to re-programme.

i think in the manual it says replace the battery within a time limit iirc 5 mins... ive done mine with no issues at all... just opened key, pulled battery, put new in, back together and tried worked straight away.

if your not sure, make sure you have a spare key and maybe open the car and drop the window so you can get in if needs be.
