Yet Another Ford Fiesta Overheating!

Featured Replies

Hi im new to this forum and im having some overheating issues with my ford fiesta LX 54 plate 1.25

Basically the oter day my fiesta began overheating on the motorway and i couldnt get it to go down despite adding water and oil so i ended up phoning the RAC to be towed home.

When i got it home i noticed there was a leak from one of the hoses this was because the clip was broke so i put a new one on today! I then took it for a drive but the heating light was still coming on but varied going up and down! I lookes at the car again and noticed that there is a sensor which is located below the radiator that has 4 wires 3 of which are hanging out. Does anyone know what this sensor is and could this be causing my issues.

Also i noticed when my car heating is on the warmest setting, whilst the car is still it blows out cold air but as soon as i press the accelerator it blows out warm air :S

I will be taking it to the garage tomorrow but as im a young female i would like to have an idea what is going on so i dont get ripped off!

Thanks for any help!
