Can't Reattach Glove Door

Featured Replies

After removing glove compartment door on my 2012 Fiesta to replace a fuse, I hit a brick wall trying to reattach the g.c. door. Owner's manual no help. Open for suggestions. Thanks.

Press in the sides of the glovebox firmly to reattach it to the fascia and then re-insert the hinge pins if you have removed them. I haven't ever removed the hinge pins but this is what the Haynes manual says!

Bear in mind the hinge pins only fit one way round (there's a bit that sticks out) so keep rotating whilst pushing and they should slide in.

Seems cars are all 'clicked' together these days - makes for speedy assembly but what about all the fastener manufacturers (screws, etc) that have probably gone out of business, unless they now make the plastic bits ! :)
