Auto Gearbox Whine

i have recently bought a 2012 zetec auto.I an hear a slight whine when excellerating from 35 to 50 mph when power is of or decelerating it goes away i think it might be the differential in the gearbox if there is one cause thats what it sounds like.The box works perfectly in auto or manual mode car has only covered 2400 miles can anybody advise

    Might just be a trait of this box. Mine has a slight aeroplane/electric car type whine when accelerating from 60 to 70.

    It's probably just this old type of gearbox, and it only having 4 gears.

    Out of interest have you come from another automatic, and if so what?
