jamesabell22
I have recently purchased a Ford Focus 1.4 CL (1999) T Reg. The car has manual central locking, although i would like to know if it is possible to adapt the car for remote central locking? Would be grateful if i could receive some help on whether i can do this, what i need for it and how much it would likely cost?
dezwez
remote central locking is not on the cl bace model you could try a aftermarket one off eBay hope this helps
jamesabell22
Ive found this on eBay which is an official module, It states my car is compatible? Would you agree? http://cgi.ebay.co.u...E:X:AAQ:GB:1123 and http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160746376367&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1123
dezwez
it would have to be programed by main dealer and i dont think your car would have all the wiring fitted for it to work
dezwez
the cheapest way would be this on e bay item number: 170922897650
artscot79
you have to remove the doorcards to check if the wiring is there some have it some dont then you require the modules then you require a remote fob that needs coded which can be done manualy all in a few hundred pounds easier to buy an aftermarket alarm with central locking facility and more reliable

artscot79
just beware when removing the foam seal behind the door panel dont tear it as its all that keeps the water out the car and its stuck down with a pliable seal it requires a sharp stanley blade and patience as you cut the seal at the edges seperating the panel
