Hi all,

I bought my Fiesta from a dealer in July with a 3 month warranty (second had car) and I was told if the mot was due in under 9 months they'd put a full year on it. It was fully serviced before I got it, but the mot is due in November, just after the warranty runs out.

What I need to know is will the dealership pay for any repairs needed for the mot when it's done next month or should I get a pre mot check and get them to repair everything under warranty?

i bought my smax dec last year with a new mot and a years warrenty,guess where its going a couple of weeks before the mots due,yep back to the dealer who does his own mots.

If they said the would put an MOT on it if it was under 9 months, then take it back and let them put an MOT on it.

You can get an MOT done up to a month before the due date and you'll get 13months out of the certificate. Will that help you in getting the MOT before warranty expires?

Warranty runs out on 26th of this month, mot is on 27th November! Just out of time. I might talk to the garage and my mechanic, and possibly get the pre check done by my mechanic just in case. I would have thought they should cover any repairs needed but sadly I doubt that's the way it would be.
