Wireless Lead For Mp3 Connection?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone knew if there was a way of getting some sort of wireless lead or something to use for the mp3 connection, just because its a bit annoying having my iPod attached to the wire the whole time.

Cheers

A lead is a wire, so you want a wireless wire...? :P

What Fiesta do you have? You're probably after an FM transmitter to plug in to your iPod then tune the radio in to that frequency.

basically what i'm looking for is something that does the same thing as this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004G3UK5C/ref=asc_df_B004G3UK5C10097613?smid=A305S4HW7NE79P&tag=hydra0b-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22218&creativeASIN=B004G3UK5C&hvpos=1o4&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1816126228253226705&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=

but without the wire in the middle?

I'm not sure such a device exists. Stick with an FM transmitter.

This is a bit of a workaround but try this.

A powered iPod connector like this with the aux cable plugged into it-

And this on the end of the iPod connection so you are then running the iPod via A2DP (Bluetooth stereo)-

I use one of the iTrip connectors for my iPod and it works a treat.

The Bluetooth adaptor is designed for speaker docking units but the power and connections will be exactly the same so no reason this set up won't work.

You'll be able to run the iPod on Bluetooth and the remote function on the iTrip should still work too.

Just tuck the Bluetooth module away somewhere out of sight and the controller will stick out of the 12v socket.

Put it this way, I've convinced myself so well I've just bought one of those Bluetooth adaptors to give it a go too.

hmm seems like a bit too much of an effort so i'll just stick to the wire.

Thanks though :)

Update, got the Bluetooth adaptor today, plugged it into my iPod connector and it works a treat.

Controller on my iTrip has full functionality and. Sounds good.

I now have wireless iPod to radio connection in my car.

I'm glad I've proved my conceptual idea to myself.

Happy bunny. :D

For best quality sound, stick with the lead, Bluetooth or FM transmitter is neater but you will sacrifice sound quality.

I like the fact that I now have choice.

It means now I have the ability to leave my pod in my pocket and can connect it without having to stash it in a holder or in the glove box.

The sound is pretty good considering and is not of a noticeably lower quality.
