Zetec S Spare!

Featured Replies

Hi,everyone just joined so bare with me!! I have had my 2010 Fiesta Zetec S 3 weeks now and have been looking into getting a spare wheel as mine only has the repair kit!

The car is fitted with the optional Ford 17" Alloys,my question is,what size spare and tyre should i have and will the wheel bolts be ok if it is a steel wheel? I had been told that if i use the most commonly available kit (14",which has the jack etc) the difference in size,if fitted on the fron opposite a 17" will ruin the diff?? Is this correct??

Thanks in advance.

The 14" spare should be fine as it has a higher profile tyre meaning the overall circumference is near enough the same.

You can use alloy wheel bolts on a steel rim for a couple of weeks but can't use steel bolts on an alloy.
