Ford Fiesta 1.7 Puma Engine Conversion, Gas Pedal Broken?

Featured Replies

The car was working fine yesterday, but my mum drove it this morning (but i haven't talked to her yet as shes gone out again) , i've just gotten in the car and the gas pedal is completely on the floor. its loose, and when you start up the engine it doesn't do the 'vroom' when it turns on, it rattles a bit and doesn't sound healthy. And of course you can't put your foot on the accelerator because its completely on the floor. I live in the middle of no where, so i can't drive to a garage as i can't travel in first gear on the main roads, and i'm panicking! It's my boyfriends car, and he gave it to me..i've only had it a few days and i've broke it! heeelp does anyone know what it is?

It would be nice to know what your Mums done to it. It sounds like the throttle cable has come adrift from the throttle, but could only have happened after she had got home and parked up which is strange.

The cable may still be attached to the throttle at the very end but may have come adrift from whatever its clipped to.
