Mk7 Heater Blower Broken

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a Mk7 1.4 tdci, 2010.

On the driver's face blower (to the right of the steering wheel), normally the two 'flaps' (not sure what to call them) both move when you move them to close the blower.

I closed the blower the other day and apparently there is a plastic clip which keeps them together, this broke off and went down inside!! Now the two black flap things move independently of each other and the piece has disappeared somewhere.

I wasnt forceful with it, I just moved it and it broke. If I turn the blowers on full the broken clip blows back up but i can't get it out because there's a plastic grid and i can't get my fingers in to get it out :(

What can I do? The car is under warranty but knowing Ford they will probably just think I was too heavy handed with it and broke it.

Should I get them to look at it??

thanks for any help

If it comes back up the round unit The whole unit can be removed not quite sure on the specifics but I think they just pull out no dowt there is a video on YouTube or a guide on here somewhere on how to remove it. If no luck take it to ford and either ask them how to remove it or let them fix it
