S-Max 2.0 Tdci 163 Powershift Transmission Fault

Featured Replies

Hi folks, I'm hoping to get some ideas as to what caused a strange experience this morning.

On starting the car, the engine fired up straight away but I received 2 messages, the first "Partial transmission function" followed by "ESP off". I put the car into Drive, and noticed that when I pulled off, the revs counter stayed at 0, as did the speedo, and other info such as mpg data failed to register. The powershift also failed to change gear as i accelerated.

I stopped the car, turned the engine off, turned it back on again, and all seemed to have resolved other than the engine fault light which remained on.

Any ideas what might have caused this?

car is a 2012 S-Max 2.0 Tdci 163 powershift with 4,000 miles on the clock.

Cheers

Mike
