Focus Engine Help

Featured Replies

Hi I have just bought a year 200 (W) 1.4cc Focus on the way home it broke down apparantely a con rod has broken and gone and made a hole in the engine.

I have been looking to buy a second hand engine but there seem's to be so many different options of engine codes available and some breakers say they fit some say the opposite.

Has anybody got a good 1.4 Focus engine that they know will fit or can somebdoy help with which engine codes I should be looking to buy.

Many thanks in anticipation

Neil

Ideally you would want to find one the same as yours. It may be worth buying a whole rear end damaged focus. Maybe even one with a bigger engine and try that.

Where abouts in Devon are you buddy?

I'd consider putting a 1.6 in it too. The 1.4 was always a silly idea in a car as big as a focus.
