Ive got a mk 6 fiesta lx 1.3 base model basically. Is there anything I could do to improve the power shortof a complete engine swap?

depends how much you wanna spend and if you plan to keep the car for a very long time.

May also depend on how old you are. If you are under 25, most insurers will not cover you if you have any modifications at all. Therefore it may be cheaper to buy a more powerful car.

Well im 23 in a few weeks. Will proba only be keeping it untill im 25 cus im wanting a Focus ST or maybe an RS if I can get the money together for one.

You could get a performance exhaust, a good one will add a few horses, get a remap on the engine, new air box.

They'd probably be the cheapest option

You can remap any car I believe with a modern engine, obviously the smaller the engine the smaller gains there to be had as there is less to play with if you get me?

A remap on a 1.4 petrol will be very limited.

Any gains you may get will be nowhere near worth the costs incurred.
