Steering Clunk When Reversing

Just bought a 2006 Fiesta for the wife today which was fine on the test drive last week and on the 25 mile drive home today, but after we got it home and was reversing it onto the drive, we noticed that there is a loud clunk and a knocking feeling through the wheel when reversing on full lock.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be.

    cv joint springs to mind, does it happen when going forwards on the same lock?

    Just tested it out and yes it knocks on full lock both forward and reverse. Any idea how much it costs to get CV joints replaced?
