interior lights inc dashboard lights, radio lights

Featured Replies

Hi all just brought a 05 plate new shape focus, however after i leave the car and lock the doors, the dashboard interior lights and radio lights seem to stay on for ages, is that nornal?

How long should the lights stay on after you look the doors??

Any help and advise really appreciated.

Its normal. They stay on for upto 20 minutes after the car is locked.

Yep, its normal. My neighbour had a Mk2 that did the same. If you park your car on a road at night, its completely senseless to have the entire dashboard and CD player lit up like a Christmas tree for ages after you leave the car, yet we never found a way of turning this 'feature' off.

I don't know what Ford were thinking. Or if they were thinking at all.
