got a new focus, opened up the boot and looked at the spare wheel and i found this stuff on the left of the pic? its like alien gell! what is it chaps?sealant?

I'd say sealant or sound proofing, or perhaps they got bored when making it and decided to make it look like a paint by numbers lol.

i got this on my Fiesta, not sure what it is so would be interested to know. i though it was a sealent my self. mine tho looks like it was painted over to the colour of the car too....stange!

looks a bit like 'denzo' tape.

It's found in most cars, if u have a rear end shunt this stuff is used as a guide to the amount of damage. If its cracked then technically it's a write off.

Oh that's interesting to know. :).

Something as basic and pretty useless as tape, used for something so important :-p

Definitely have it in my MK2 and according to my mate who owns a C##sa, his car has it too.
