Spare Key??

Featured Replies

Hi I have just bought a Focus on an 02 plate but only got 1 key, how do I get a spare key and how much is it gonna cost?

Also would it be a Mk1 or Mk2 Focus? its an 02 plate Hatchback

regards

Rod

spare base key (no remote) around about 75 quid all in by the average locksmith.

Probably a MK1, and Ford sell the electronic part for £50 minus programming and the Key, it could prove to be an expensive exercise as Ford would charge a fair wack to program the key to the car, even of you can find an independant to do it could cost over £200 all in, and to get a new electronic key made you will require the blue\red chip key, if you havent got an immobiliser then a normal key without the electronics coukd be as cheap as £50, you will have to look in to it a bit.

Get a complete key off ebay, call a local Auto Locksmith and they'll cut and code the key to your car for a lot less than Ford will charge.
