give it a thrash on the motorway to do the regen to see if this does the trick Frank.

if the car isnt getting any motorway mileage and only tootling around town then it will cause a dpf issue. regularly it needs to regen by having a trip on the motorway.

dont 'thrash it' down the motorway. cruise at 70mph, keeping a steady throttle for about 30-40 min. if you have cruise control then set it to 70 and let the car do the rest

DPF regen sounds strange at 88,000 miles. According to the service schedule, it should be *replaced* at 75,000 miles, and the Eolys fluid topped up. If you've got to 107K without the DPF being changed, then that's probably the issue.

Forgot to add, a regen is when it burns the soot off. This happens passively as the exhaust warms up, every 500 or so miles when the ECU decides to get the exhaust super-hot so as to burn the soot off, or can be forced through diag software. What you've been advised to do is passively regen it by getting the exhaust temps up on the motorway.

I've found a garage locally that does the Terraclean service so will be giving them a shout over the next week or so to see how it goes.
