Hi New Here And Have A Problem!

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm new here and am relatively new to owning a ford. I've got a Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi 04 plate which my wife mainly uses.

I hope someone can point me in the right direction...last week she was driving and said that the engine suddenly lurched a bit and lost power. Now it is making a sort of high pitched whooshing noise at anything above 1700 RPM and is struggling to get above 40 mph. I've had a few suggestions from clutch (which its not), turbo or turbo pipes.

Can anyone offer any insight?

Many Thanks in advance

Iain

It does sound like a split hose and the most common is the one that goes from the EGR to the intercooler on Mondeos so maybe the same on yours?

as above check all the rubber boost pipes you can find.
