ive got a ford focus 1.8 TDci 52plate Ghia

when i change gears its quite hard, as in if i put it in 1st its quite hard and sometimes it doesnt go into 1st and il have to double press the clutch to get it into gear, same goes with 2nd and 3rd

what do you guys the problem could be?

im just hoping its something minor..

    ok so its struggling to slide between gears? could be the selector linkage or could be a problem clutch.

    Can you sit with the car off, clutch down and change gears?

    when the car is off the gears change fine no problem..

    i really hope its not the clutch

    My fiesta is a bit like this sometimes although i was only doing short runs, since i have been going some its cleared up, i noticed mine was also related to cold weather as if the linkage cables change characreistics, perhaps its the plastic coating, i would have a look at the linkage cables first as it wont cost anything.
