hi all im new to this got a 2004 diesel fusion

battery charging at 18v and lots of lights come on and off on dash including abs airbag engine check door open and speedo fuel gauge and rev counter stop working

    18v, yipes! sounds like your smart charge has gone pop, the alternator is putting out too much juice which eventually may fry some components...

    i would check the condition of the battery and its connections as the alternator/smart charge can put out 18 volts if its trying to recover a dead battery.
