Hi, hope someone can give some help on this matter

My handbrake button snapped/cracked clean down the middle, and started to come away leaving me with half a button and a few very sharp bits of plactic to cut my thumb on. Can the handbrake button be removed and replaced or the button and grip be removed to put a genuine ford part of upgraded after market part on? If so how can i remove it. many thanks
