Replace 12V Socket On Mk2.5 Titanium Centre Console With Ford Power Button

Featured Replies

I could have sworn I saw a guide on here (may have been another focus forum, but thought it was here), on how to swap out the 12v socket on a titanium longer-centre console for the proper ford part 'power' start button.

I know its pointless, but its something I'd like to try, but despite repeated searches, I can't find the guide? It had photos and info on what to connect to wear around the ignition.

Any ideas on where I saw it?

Hey Stoney,

I've actually used that mod to Y off the cig lighter for a power supply to my front driving camera! The guide I'm after included how to attach the switch to the ignition loop to fire 'pos 3' etc.

Maybe it was just the fiesta one I saw.

Many thanks for the guide thoough - saved me a lot of time, and prevented me from snapping the centre console into many bits!
