Fiesta Mk4 And Speaker Installation Help

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm setting up new stereo and speakers in my Ford Fiesta mk4 and need
some help with the speaker installation. I've installed the stereo fine
but the speaker connectors on the doors seem to have ford connectors
which don't match my Edge ED305 component speakers. Did a bit of
googling and came up with this connector (PC2-802):

I could use this, then cut of the ends where spade connector is then
twist the wires from the connector + the ones from the tweeter and
install new spade connector then connect to the woofer.

Or i could cut of the factory connector and twist copper cables with the
tweeter cables then crimp? Only thing with this is im guessing that
the horizontal part of the connector (PC2-802) which is red is positive
and the black part is negative. So for the cables already presence on
the door, white goes to red and yellow goes to black:

Which would be the best way?

Thanks for your help,

V
