Sat Nav Sd Card Not Working

I recently bought a ford focus zetec s with built in sat nav but it didn't have no disc or sd card with it so looked on e bay and bought one off there. I bought a western Europe 2012 map software sd card but for some reason I wont work when I put it into the system can some one shine some light on this for me

    Hi as far as i am aware the last known card was a 2010 Turkey and western Europe , unless they upgraded , is the card Genuine , if it's not then it will not work in the unit
