Glow Plugs 2.2Tdci

Featured Replies

hi guys, looking for some advice. I've got a 2005 2.2tdci and i'm looking at changing the glow plugs. Which are the best type to go for, there are that many on the market...is it the old adage the more you pay the better???

cheers

steve

I would stick with the genuine ford ones - they are reasonably priced too at around £40

Standard Motorcraft (Fords replacement parts) or NGK, never seen any better yet in 20 years!

Same with spark plugs!! Motorcraft are one of the best!!

thanks for that guys looks like its this weekends job.

cheers

Make sure you run the engine until nice and warm. My old Mk V Escort (1.8, non-common rail diesel) glows plugs came out extremely easily, after being in since 1997, original equipment.
