hi all,

i went to book in my fiesta for a cambelt change to be told the cost was 330 pounds.

not according to the Ford fixed price list, its 249 pounds for a fiesta.

oh we dont particupate in that scheme says the receptionist

well you are on the list of participating dealers at that price i inform her..

calls manager. i explain predicament.

ok he says we will do it for the advertised fix price.

result!!!

    Mine tried charging me more than they should for my last service, the full pricing for all vehicles is on their website so I knew what it should have cost. I pointed this out to them, they googled their own website (why wouldn't they bookmark that?!), followed the pricing link and saw I was right so reduced it. Makes you wonder how many people pay more than they should though, if the dealer doesn't even know their own pricing!
