Help Choosing A Galaxy

Featured Replies

Hi I am currently looking to purchase a secondhand Galaxy and wondered which would be the best engine to go for relaiblity wise. Was thinking of getting the 2.3 petrol as don't fancy having similar problems I have had with my diesel Zafira ie egr valve and diesel pump. I am looking at something around a 51 plate onwards but not too recent.

the tdi is a vw engine,in fact its about 90% vw.

they done a 115bhp,i had 1 of these.great car,they also done a 130 and an ubber rare 150,

or go for the v6 jobby if you can afford to have a petrol tanker following you,its a 2 tonne missile.

How realible is the various petrol and diesel engines?

The reliability is overall not too bad, but you dont have the greatest ranges of engines to choose from. Diesel is of course limited to the reliability of the turbo, but petrol hasnt got quite the same concern.
