Ford Focus 1.8 Tdci Turbo Whistling?

Featured Replies

Hey Guys,

Recently brought this ford focus 2003 model zetec a week ago.

Once car is heating up at normal temp at about 2500-3000rpm the turbo makes like a whistling noise but does do it straight away more revs you do the louder it gets doesnt sound bad just curious why its doing it.

Called rac out regarding my car not starting

and the faults came up were as follows :

Fuel Pump Sensor

Boost Control Valve.

Could anyone shed any light on these issues and if they are a easy fix?

Kind Regards,

Kieran.

Start off checking the hoses and pipes leading to the turbo, sounds like you have a discreet cut / gash / slit in one of them.

Dont take the error codes at face value until they come back for a second time. They could have been there from years ago...
