I'm tempted by the Zetec S with the 125bhp engine. But the mpg that people have been getting seems a lot lower than what Ford claimed. I know you should take them with a pinch of salt, but haven't seen many people getting over 50mpg.

Can anyone with that engine let me know what you do get and under what driving conditions. I get 55-60mpg from my Yaris T-sport when I do 100+ mile roundtrip down to my folks on A roads, mainly 60 limits.

I m&s to high 50's that's cruising A roads in mine. But I mainly do short journeys I'm getting about 42/43 on short trips round town.

To be fair I don't really drive with economy in mind so I'd assume it could be better than this if I tried.

Mainly rural 10 mile commute I'm averaging 38 according to my trip computer.

I drive country lanes daily to work around 30 mile round trip and im on 43.8avg since Feb 25th, motorway driving is great mpg aswell, in town driving if your behind people at say 30mph in 4th I have been getting 80mpg if held steady

But I dont drive economically and im managing that average of 43+
