dezwez
its fixed to the screen don't try to pull it off it will break the screen there,s a little catch at the bottom you press it and it slides up
soulman123
So once I slide it off does it just need glueing back ? I'm guessing the remaining part us glue padded on which maybe a Stanley blade to remove. And just buy a new pad from Halfords ? Or somewhere. And reverse th he process. Any tips or what glyey pad to use ? Id better check for crack actually
dezwez
its already bonded to the windscreen it just slips back on to the fitting it will not fall off but like I said don't try to pull the fitting of the windscreen or you will be buying a new screen

Stoney871
Check the plastic on the base of the mirror for breaks, I snapped the mirror off my MK1 and a tiny sliver of plastic came off the side of it meaning there was no grip onto the windscreen mount. Probably a new mirror is needed.
