M4rt1n
Has anyone tried to fit new headlight units with LED daytime running lights to mk7.5 (2013 facelift) zetec s. I really like the look of them on the ST but they were not an option on the ZS. Also anyone any idea on the price of new headlight unit? ( providing they can actual be swapped) Any help would be great thanks Martin

M4rt1n
Holy crap £279 each, thts a little on the steep side! Wish they came as standard they would look so much better Do u kno if they actually work with the existing wiring? Not tht I will change them at tht price haha
Steve92
I must be getting old, I really don't like the daytime running lights on the fiesta, they look so aftermarket.
M4rt1n
I just think they look better than the little side lights which u get on the new zetec s. just annoys me tht I don't really like them, plus I don't have the option to turn them off haha
b1g_dav3
Main trouble with the DRL's on the Zetec S and below is that if the DRL goes the main beam needs changing and vice versa, seeing it's built into the main beam bulb (H15) or vice versa, and they're about £25 per bulb. Then again if a DRL goes in the Titanium one's it needs a new headlight >_>
M4rt1n
Yeah I know what you mean, I think it would be nice to have the LED DRLs but only if they are factory fitted as an option, otherwise if they break I would be screwed, plus they are stupidly expensive to start with
The Dark Knight
Much prefer the running lights of the ZS and below personally. Never been a big fan of LED DRL's. As Clarkson once said, they make the car look like a council house at Christmas lol! In all seriousness the LED's on the fez look like a half hearted affair. I passed a titanium spec fez going the other way and the LED's looked iffy IMO and not long after I passed a red ZS like mine! I forget when sat behind the wheel just how awesome it looks and the halogen DRL's suit it perfectly IMO.
M4rt1n
Yeah I suppose, I think deep down its because I secretly want the new ST. Don't get be wrong I love my ZS. Just I needed a car and I couldn't wait until the ST came out. It sounds stupid but I think that's the reason i convinced myself I wanted the LED DRLs haha Think you guys may have talked some sense into me! The Dark Knight
Technically, I could have bought an ST. My Land Rover fetched £18k in part exchange but some of that went to pay off outstanding finance. Could have tried stretching monthly payments etc for an ST but I thought I should get my priorities right with Uni fees piling up and a plan for my first house within 5 years (yes it might take that long to be sufficiently clear of Uni fees lol). The ZS is the perfect all rounder. More than fast enough for the real world and yet cheap to run etc. Marvellous.
b1g_dav3
Or you get someone like me who makes an excuse just to get both :P reasoning being, my old 2 cars I traded in for it took up more room, more repair costs and are less safe... Lol.
M4rt1n
Jesus rub it in, no honestly I really do like the ZS, I went from a mk6.5 ST to the ZS an its soooo much cheaper to run, insure and £0 tax is a winner
