Fiesta Zetec S Tdci

Featured Replies

Hi, I bought my Zetec S TDCI just over 12 months ago and it has been a very problematic car. It is a 57 reg with 60k on clock.

Now when I start it the engine feels like it is about to stall and when I accelerate there is a rattle/ticking noise. This only happens when the engine is cold and seems to go once the turbo comes in to play, or at least it is much quieter!

Is this an injector issue? Also is the dreaded TDCI turbo problem a consequence of injector problems? I am seriously thinking of chucking the towel in this time and buying something new, maybe a swift sport :-). Just wanting to know if its worth fixing considering I have spent a lot on it already and it has been off the road a fair bit which is killer when you commute
